Livestock Friendly
Hayes County joined 34 other Nebraska counties when it was officially designated a Livestock Friendly County by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture in the summer of 2015. On September 22, 2015, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts made a visit to Hayes Center to celebrate the designation by presenting a recognition plaque to the Hayes County Commissioners.
