Camp Hayes

Enjoy the quiet, fresh country air for a day or weekend of camping, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing out at Camp Hayes State Wildlife Area, nestled in the canyons just 12 miles from Hayes Center. Camp Hayes is a premier spot for bountiful fishing and hunting opportunities, as well as family picnics and an annual trail ride. There are also hiking trails to explore and its out-of-the-way location creates ideal conditions for bird watching, star gazing and the opportunity to observe and connect with the beauty of nature. Hunting, fishing and park permits are available for purchase at the County Clerk’s office.
